Count case studies that name the client or link a live site, not screenshots; that is how we counted them. The clearest red flag is a credential the issuing platform does not show. Webflow displays the partner tier on the person's webflow.com profile, and Upwork shows badges and job counts on its own pages, so a tier or badge that appears only in a freelancer's own copy stays unverified until you find it there. We scored only what the issuer showed on 2026-09-21. Treat a portfolio with no live client URL, and a request to pay outside the marketplace where the reviews were earned, the same way.
